Dickey is Great Once Again

Wow- what a great game!

Mets 9, Rays 1

The good:
Dickey set the team record for consecutive shutout innings
Dickey through a one-hitter
Dickey struck out 12
We had 14 hits
7-14 with RISP
Every starter had a hit!

The bad:
Wright's fielding. Enough said.

Great win in Tampa!

Mets 11, Rays 2

The good:
We snapped a losing skid
Valdespin had a career night
Davis homered for the first time in a month
Young got his first win in 14 months
Everyone BUT Bay had a hit
6-13 w RISP
Bullpen kept them hitless

The bad:
Bay stunk it up once again.
Young had a WHIP of over 2


Tonight is Dickey v Price. Im not looking forward to tonight; Dickey never does as well in domes.

A little late, but Dickey struck out 11 yesterday for his 6th win!

Francisco had a perfect 9th
Only struck out 5 times

The bad:
3 runs will usually not mean a win.

Almost a sweep!

Not a good series so far.

Hopefully Gee can turn us around tomorrow and move us out of last.
